Description
An unusual native plant with long, narrow and serrated leaves. Stratiotes like to have their roots in contact with the soil on the base of the pond. Most ponds containing Stratiotes seem to have clear water.
Repotting or planting
We suggest 2-3 large floating plants per 1m²
Care instructions
Allow to die back naturally. The old plant rots away and the young plants rise to the surface the following spring to bear small white flowers and start the cycle all over again.
