Description
Nymphaea ‘Mangkala Ubol’ was introduced in 1997 by Dr. N. Nopchai Charnsilpa. It is peachy yellow with flecked brownish-green pads. It is one of the earliest blooming hardy waterlilies and blooms very late into the early winter season beyond most other hardy waterlilies.
Potting & Repotting

1ltr lilies require potting into a 3ltr or larger mesh basket. All other size lilies do not need repotting but benefit from being potted up. 30 ltr lilies do not need repotting for in excess of 10 – 15 years. There is no need to remove the mesh basket.

Why water lilies
Water lilies are popular for their distinct beauty and colour. They bloom during the summer, and in the case of the Nymphaea Mangkala Ubol, this is for several months, meaning extended periods of enjoyment. But more than just looking so wonderful, water lilies are good for the pond eco-system too, helping to keep algae at bay and providing shade for pond fish.
