Description

Introducing Nymphaea Princess Elizabeth, our lovely coral-pink water lily. This free flowering beauty is excellent for natural planting straight into clay soil, but can also be grown in large pots or baskets. Her blooms are very fragrant and will keep your garden looking fresh from June until September. Just make sure to give her a depth of 30-45 cm over the top of the rhizome so she can thrive!

Repotting or planting

Bare root lilies require potting into 2 Litre mesh basket

1ltr lilies require potting into a 3ltr or larger mesh basket. All other size lilies do not need repotting but benefit from being potted up. 30 ltr lilies do not need repotting for in excess of 10 – 15 years. There is no need to remove the mesh basket.

Care instructions

Plant in still water away from splashing fountains. Lower gradually so the leaves can stretch to the surface within a few days. Remove dead leaves and flowers during the growing season.

Why water lilies

Water lilies are popular for their distinct beauty and colour. They bloom during the summer, and in the case of the Nymphaea Odorata, this is for several months, meaning extended periods of enjoyment. But more than just looking so wonderful, water lilies are good for the pond eco-system too, helping to keep algae at bay and providing shade for pond fish.
