Medium-sized species of freshwater mussel. Approx shell length 10cm. Shell is buff or light brown in colour. Live-in & around mud on the pond floor where they feed on very small particles of decaying vegetation & small live food. They are known as a filter feeder as they feed on the algae.
1 per m². Suitable for medium ponds that have plenty of natural wildlife & organisms and plant remnants harbouring various bugs etc.
